Marriot Hotel Reservation Warning

It's probably a good idea not to use Marriot Hotel's internet reservation service. Marriot has found a way to ensure a little extra on the bottom line at consumer's ignorance. Here's the deal...

If you make a reservation online, the site has a "Best Rate Gaurantee." All this guarantee essentially means is that if you happen to find a better rate within 24 hours, Marriot will reimburse you the difference. However, this best rate gaurantee does not mean that you have gotten Marriot's best rate - if you call reservation line at the hotel you are planning on staying at you can often get a better deal. It's dumb, but it's their game...

Best Dog Ever

Penelope (a.k.a Penny, Pea, Penel, Sasquatch)

A recent trip to the park caught Penelope a little hairy and a little tired. After romping around with the other dogs at the park (usually involving her buzzing the tower of the largest dogs present), Penelope likes to sit back and relax in the shade.
